AI-901: Identify AI concepts and capabilities (40–45%)
This skill group is 40–45% of AI-901. It tests conceptual judgement: why an AI approach fits a scenario, which model or deployment capability matters, and which Responsible AI principle applies.
Responsible AI
Distinguish fairness, reliability and safety, privacy and security, inclusiveness, transparency and accountability by the risk being managed. A disclosure that users are interacting with AI supports transparency; testing outcomes across demographic groups supports fairness.
Models and workloads
Know how generative models use tokens and prompts, how model capability affects selection, and how deployment parameters affect behaviour. Match workloads to text analysis, speech, computer vision, information extraction, generative AI or agents. The exam expects conceptual Python and Azure awareness, not only service-name memorisation.
